As a side note, I'd also recommend the author's first book, a young adult novel titled 'Written in the Stars' that I absolutely loved.

Excellent and important story with a Pakistani female heroine.This book is written for children and is without bad language, sex, drugs, extreme violence (see note way below-- it is a spoiler). Absolutely suitable for older elementary. This one belongs on everyone's shelf.

I finished reading AMAL UNBOUND today, and oh my goodness. It was just as powerful and moving as everyone says. I loved the inherent message that we ALL have the power to make change, no matter how helpless we may feel or how confining our circumstances may seem. Aisha Saeed mentions in the afterword that Amal's story was partially inspired by Malala, and I can absolutely see that influence in Amal's unwavering courage and conviction. A beautiful story, and one I definitely see rereadingâ€”and reading with my daughterâ€”in the future!

I loved this book. Although recommended for high school students, I would recommend it to everyone. The idea that change is always possible can give strength to those thinking they are trapped in their current situations. This young lady showed strength, devotion and fortitude.

I absolutely adored this book. In fact I bought one for an elementary school teacher and hope her school kids get a chance to experience a story about rural Pakistan and indentured servitude. Diverse stories are so essential in closing the gaps between us, in building understanding and empathy, and Aisha Saeed has written a riveting story about Amal's insistence on justice and passion for education. Thank you for this book!

My daughter loved this book and has since passed it on to friends and cousins. She found the story-telling compelling, the subject matter interesting, and she was engaged from beginning to end!

Of all the books and materials I've read on MRI, Mr. Faulkner's small book is the best written on understanding the key components to MRI. It is invaluable to someone who desires to understand the basic physics and is the single best foundation for a technologist to build on. It also seemed to dovetail with ARRT's perspective in my Board Exam. If a tech had only one book to reference as he/she trains clinically, this would be it, in my opinion. I also attended Mr. Faulkner's MRI class in Chattanooga, TN where he gives monthly seminar and a week's review and it is the best 5 day seminar on MRI possible. If you read this book first and prepare questions for the seminar, you are 99% likely to come away with a highly expert understanding. If you have been out of MRI for a long time and need to review to get back up to speed, this book is the answer to that need. He wrote it for the ages. The basic physics will always apply as the technology advances. It is a tribute to love and understanding of MRI. Absolute Kudos.

Easy to read and understand as far as physics go. Confusing typo's in several spots. There was author contact info and I did contact the author to clarify what I felt was a typo that stumped me. He immediately (within hours) contacted me and was very nice, polite and helpful. I also took a course in Las Vegas from this author. Made a very dry subject as interesting as anyone could possibly make it. I passed my MRI exam with a 90%. Thank you Mr. Faulkner.

I did not attend an MRI school. I read this book twice and studied the registry outline provided by the AART. I passed the registry with an A.

Excellent price. Shipped fast.

an excellent tool to use to revise for the MRI boards. However you will still need other text books as well but this one focuses on the physics that will almost surely come on the exam paper.

I have recommended this book to others with great success.

In a world filled with so many things to be angry about I find this book so helpful. I write my anger on Facebook, email and feel it so often when I see how people and animals and the earth are treated by those who's greed has no end. I know that my anger makes the fire hotter and so was so happy to find this book. It gives me the answer to what can be done to fight, in a different way.I think it would be a wonderful world if we all could live in this way. Please read this.

There is a lot to reflect on in this book. I got it for someone else who has anger management issues but felt that I should read it first before giving it to the person. I found it very useful and I am already a very patient person. It gets a little more complicated midway or near the end and you will not be able to speed read it, but there is a lot of material to digest which is good.

I recommend this book to everyone I know who wants help with forgiveness, or wants to know how to deal with their negative emotions. Your books have a wonderful writing style, not layered with useless facts & fiction that add pages to the novel but nothing to the story line. I adore your humor and the interplay of the characters. Couldn't put this book down. Was on the edge of my chair through the entire book. The general plot is based on a true story in the 3rd Roland March series. Intelligent fiction writing adds to the true story with his excellent writing talent that consists of guns, murder, game playing and some soul searching. Political, secret agents, double agents, personal agenda's, Houston PD, FBI, CIA along with a few civilians made for this action packed story. Roland March the main character is the HPD Dectective who is a little on the odd ball side but through this book you get to understand him a little better and what drives him to be so dedicated to his job for the victims of crime. Although I get annoyed with him at times I decided I really like him. Which I also decided made this book more appealing since he wasn't always perfect as so often in other books the lead character is almost always perfect. For me this was different and better for a change. He was complicated is what I'm trying to say. Read books one and two of "Back on Murder" and "Pattern of Wounds". Both are great thriller's as the author has excellent writing skills. You won't be sorry at all by any of the 3 books. I can't wait for Mark's fourth in the Roland March series. I'm a fan for life!

I just finished Nothing to Hide two nights ago. Before I reached for the keyboard to write this review, I wanted it to soak in. After all, unless I'm mistaken, I'm now deprived of Roland March's further law-enforcement exploits. There's no fourth book in the spectacular J. Mark Bertrand series ...... yet. Right Mark? You're working on book four, correct?Hmmmmm. Silence..... Although I'm a professional writer too, I'm not a novelist. I'm thinking of becoming one in retirement, but now I just write a syndicated newspaper column. You're wondering, "What the H * * * does this have to do with Nothing to Hide?"I'll tell you. It's possible that Mark has raised the bar too high. If you read the other two books in the Roland March series, then you know that each one got better and better. The character development through the series has been remarkable. I'd love to see the whiteboard where Mark mapped out each of the characters and what the plan was to drip drip drip drip parts of their lives to keep you engaged as you read each book.Talk about peeling back the layers of an onion......That's what Nothing to Hide is about. It's about excellence. It's about a mystery within a mystery. It's about creating a book so good, you might skip lunch or dinner to finish it. Yeah, it's that good.But now Mark has to equal or top it. That can be problematic. That's an unintended consequence of superlative writing.When I read reviews written by others, I try to stay away from the ones that basically are Cliff's Notes of the book. I want to find out for myself what happens. I don't need the reviewer to spoil something for me in advance.This is why I try to share emotions. I've written scathing reviews in the past for other books. One's where the authors ran out of gas or didn't think through what they were doing.Mark's not one of those authors. He's a pro. I want to thank Mark for this great series, and hope he's hard at work on book #4.Mark, if you need a mental break and want to get recharged, feel free to come to New Hampshire. Take out my kayak and go clear your head on Loch Winnisquam, the third largest lake in NH. As you look across at Belknap and Gunstock Mountains, you just might get an idea or two about what Roland is up to.What the heck, maybe Roland and Charlotte decide to escape the stifling heat and humidity of Houston to take that long-planned vacation to central New Hampshire. While they're revitalizing their relationship and enjoying the cool New England mornings and warm, but not humid summer days, Roland gets enlisted by an old buddy who's a Meredith, NH police officer. They rarely see violent crime in central New Hampshire and need help from a seasoned detective solving a brutal murder in Hamlin Park.I know, I know, you have plenty of readers sending you ideas. I'm the last person to listen to.But, the kayak is waiting and Hamlin Park is but two miles away if you want to hike on it's gorgeous trails. Wait till you see the giant boulder where the young woman was send back to Heaven.

This is quite possibly the only reading material Iâ€™ve ever regretted spending money on. Iâ€™m sure thereâ€™s a fair amount of vocabulary the author doesnâ€™t have a firm grasp on, but one word he really should look up is, â€œeditor.â€I made it through three chapters before giving up. Once I was able to decipher the delightful maze of grammatical errors and typos of the paragraphs the author wrote himself, I was left with page after page of copied and pasted content from various websites. Iâ€™m not positive, and I donâ€™t care to open this literary gem to double check, but Iâ€™m pretty sure I saw some ads splashed in there as I was skimming through rest of the book in a desperate attempt to find hope that my 12 dollars hadnâ€™t been a complete waste. Alas, I was left wanting.You may notice Iâ€™m focusing mainly on judging the writing style of the author and the editing. I donâ€™t feel itâ€™s fair for me to judge the actual content, as it seems a great deal of it was written by others.I can honestly say that the most enjoyable part of this whole experience, has been writing this review.

While he seems to actually attempt a middle of the road approach, the author ends up regurgitating the same non-sensical rhetoric as Charles Davis, only in a slightly nicer way. However, the worst part of this book is the complete lack of proofreading. Mispellings, poor grammar, and misuse of words run rampant throughout the entire work. This book contains maybe 50 pages of content that was stretched to fit 136 pages. Quite frankly, it was painful to read. Please do not waste your $10.

Well written fact based on actual events that every person from the MC world to the Civilian world should know.Chapter three is were the author starts to get this book rock'n and rollin..Glad we added this to our collection and everyone who's interested will be very shocked by some of the content. James Macecari has guts to tell the Plain Truth about what is going on with the "Pop ups" and "Lollipops" in the biker world !!

The writer never explained the subject he just rambled on about old news.

Like his straight forward style. Agree with the author or not, you knew his opinion. Appreciated his past experiences, and his ability to convey the lifestyle.

Guy who wrote it just kept saying the same thing over & over again in different chapters.Very Narcissistic. I was hoping for a good book but just too much about the same thing.

I am very disappointed with the quality of this coloring book. I was getting this for my mom and my sister to share because they are obsessed with the new coloring craze and they both love birds. The quality of this book is terrible. I can't believe I even paid for it. I'm almost positive I could go to any craft store (or Dollar Store) and find a better quality book. The only positive of the book is the pages are very high quality (i.e. if you like to use gel pen or fine tip markers) and the ink won't bleed thru. But other than that, there is nothing good about this book. There are a total of 25 pages worth of coloring material (all of the coloring page designs have a blank back except for the first coloring page that has a line for you to put your name on). There are hundreds of different species of birds and the book only focuses on a couple breeds (i.e. tons of owls and humming birds). As far as design goes, the pictures look very pixelated. It looks as though the drawings were originally much smaller then expanded just to fit the size of the page. (Similar to finding a small picture on the internet, copying and pasting it too Word/PowerPoint, expanding the photo then realizing the bigger picture is fuzzy. Sorry if that is a little confusing, it's the only way I knew how to explain it.) There is also no consistency between the design of the birds. It's very visible that there were at least five different designers to create the drawings found in the book. Now I know what you're probably thinking, "isn't having different designs a good thing?" Not so in this book. Some of the designs look like they were designed for little kids while others look professional. Some are easy while others have such intricate designs even my sister who has good eyesight can't do. Also, the title "BIRDS" really does mean just birds. The designs are only of birds. No flowers or scenery, just birds, despite what the cover may have you believe.I really hate to write bad reviews for products but this was worth it. The quality of coloring books that you can find at your local craft store are much better than this and a better price as well! Don't waste your hard earned money on this!

The cover is very deceptive. You think the book is full of scenes similar to the cover, but instead, there are single cartoon-like birds (pelicans, toucans, storks, parrots) on a blank white page. There are 3 pages out of 25 that I MIGHT enjoy coloring. Most pictures are highly pixilated, and they look like they have been taken from a clip art and blown up bigger. Had I'd been able to see a couple of the coloring pages, I would not have bought it. I would not consider giving this to an adult to color.

The book is fun to work with, but when they put it together, the pages were installed backward. Instead of turning the page and seeing the bird on the right, they are on the left... not to big a deal. Also their use of black can overwhelm the design. Still fun.

Didn't like the pictures, they are goofy.

Each page has one bird - seems very simple - more like for a child.

Did not care for the art work.

Very dissapointed in both of the books I have just received mainly the bird one if I had been able to veiw the inside I would not have bought this. The printing is blurred and in other places the design is crowded
