Very helpful for viewing objects that look best with binocs. Objects are easy to find/view by following the simple instructions. The authors drawings of what objects will look like helps a great deal. Able to view many objects in a short time. Using my binocs much more since getting this book.

A very helpful book, but almost anyone who wishes to use it will require supplementary charts, such as those provided in Chandler and Chandler's Sky Atlas for Small Telescopes and Binoculars, to help get them to the right places in the sky. The big-picture charts provided in the book just aren't quite enough.

Well written...not only informative, but written held my nterest...I can't remember the last time I read what is purportedly an instructional manual cover to cover in one sitting....went out the next day with my 20x80 and 15x50 Image Stabilization binos for hours...my chiropractor can attest! Buy & Enjoy. The worst part about it was reaching the end...

love astronomy and viewing in any way is better than not at all

Great informational book.

Easy to use good information

The guide provides objects per season; that makes it easy to know what to look for in a particular period of year. Nice finder charts and good description. I live in a suburban region so I have a light polluted sky and had hoped for objects that are visible in those conditions. Some are, but for most objects you need a dark sky. I still would recommend this book for the binocular observer.

I have a company called Astronomical Research Network which I founded in 1992 .For what it is worth this is the worst book in the field of astronomy I have ever read !

The text and artwork both are cute and make this timeworn story concept really fresh again. The cadence and repetition of the text makes for great read aloud potential (says the children's librarian). The artwork really got me chuckling though. I think kids will love identifying all the parts to each costume and trying to guess how he will play each successive animal. I have to say that the ending surprised me with a very ingenious solution to the problem. I got this book as an ebook deal but plan to go back and buy a hardcopy to easier share it. I'm also intrigued to see what the others in the series are like.

This is a cute book and my niece and nephew really enjoyed it. They asked me for a Thanksgiving book I ordered 2. This one was their favorite. The book was cute well drawn and easy for the kids to memorize and feel like they were reading along. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it made one of the kids refuse to eat turkey and we had to make her a little pizza instead. My suggestion is to read the book after dinner not before.

I bought this in hopes for a cute funny thanksgiving story. I thought maybe the turkey would realize he was a pet or he was loved like the horses and sheep. I thought maybe even the turkey would do something to make the family thankful for him and decided not to eat them. Not the case, the turkey does come up with a plan to prevent his death, but there isn’t really a “happy” ending or a thankful lesson/moment.

As a child, my grandparent's raised Turkeys. As a child it always made me a bit sad to think that they had no idea we were actually just fattening them up for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This book was so fun to read to my own granddaughter. I also loved that unlike my the turkeys raised on the farm by my grandma and grandpa, this turkey was actually pardoned in the end.

The lengths a turkey will go to to stay off the Thanksgiving Day menu make for barnyard hilarity including some groan worthy puns. My grandsons thought Turkey's final solution was perfect.

Turkey Trouble was purchased for our 5-year old grandson who loves books. When the book arrived, I started thumbing through it - it started with a small chuckle, and as I turned each page the laughter became louder and louder. I ended up reading the book out loud to my husband and we both were roaring with laughter. The story line and the accompanying hilarious illustrations just make this book a real keeper. It's a rare child's book that is so enchanting and amusing. I'm off to order Turkey Claus by the same author and illustrator. The books are very quality made. Our grandson will absolutely love them.

Great Thanksgiving read! My 4 year old and 7 year old grandsons and I giggled our way through this charmer on Thanksgiving morning. The illustrations were colorful and funny. We read many books together, and I have to admit this seems to be one of their favorites. They asked to read it twice, which is a true indication that they loved the book!

My Grandson got his book in a timely manner. He was excited about it, but kept looking thru the paper in the large box. My Daughter said the box was excessive in size compared to the size of the book. My Grandson was happy about his book, but was disappointed there was nothing else in the big box.

I really expected more from the book. The graphic style was quite disappointing. Its not very easy to follow. Granted the author wanted to have it work more like a guideline of sorts without being repetitive, hence the need to keep it short and concise, however, I think it lacks clarity overall.The use of dimensions is also very inconsistent and hard to grasp, even though I generally use the metric system. Rather use 1265mm and 1.265m, cm are just unnecessary as buildings are generally dimensioned in mm.

This greatest hits compilation is a testament to just how timeless the bands music really is.Even now as I write this review it is a best seller here on Amazon, a title it has held for months now and probably will hold for many more to come. You haters can snarl and grumble about how much you hate Journey all you want but there's no denying that few bands can match the seemingly eternal success of Journey. And that is a much greater indicator of how good a band they are then anything a snotty critic or narrow minded heavy metal fan can say.You may be wondering just what it is that has made songs like Don't Stop Believin and Faithfully relevant even today. Well I think the answer to that is that they speak to something we ALL have regardless of your age or place in life, the soul. Journey doesn't write about politics or drugs or any other controversial subject, instead of trying to garner respect by talking about the worlds problems they let their brilliantly crafted music speak to you. I dare you not to feel the the sense of pain and angst conveyed by Separate Ways or to feel lifted up and inspired by Only The Young, or have your heart warmed by the beautiful and emotional Open Arms. Steve Perry, Neal Schon, and Jonathan Cain are in my opinion great songwriters not because they remind us of things we know about, but because they make us feel things we weren't feeling before and that's a better indicator of good songwriting then copying down the late night news.And what is there to say about the band members themselves? Neal Schon is hands down one of the most underrated and proficient guitarists alive. The keyboard wizard Jonathan Cain can create some of the most beautiful and unforgettable piano melodies in the history of music. And who can forget the voice behind it all? Steve Perry has got to be one of the greatest singers of all time, signing every song with such heartfelt passion that you would think each one was an expression of his own feelings. And there are many more talented musicians that make their contribution to the music presented here, such as longtime bassist Ross Valory and the bands definitive drummer Steve Smith.Rather you are a Journey fan, or even just a fan of good music in general you should most certainly get this Greatest Hits collection from one of the greatest bands of all time. The music contained here is timeless and I have no doubt that if some of these were released today, they would be just as popular, if not more so, then they were when they first hit the air. Don't believe me? get this CD and you won't stop believin the same thing.

I have been a Journey fan for many years and have owned and loved this CD for years and recently purchased the reissued vinyl double LP of it. If you do purchase the vinyl of this album be aware that the reissues are thinner and flimsier material than older vinyls. The remastering sounded great and the vinyls played perfectly. Sadly the price of the vinyl version is so expensive at $28 when I bought it.Included on this album are hits from Journey's albums with lead singer Steve Perry only, not the new guy they've had the last few years. Journey without Steve, no thanks. Only a handful of songs from Steve's first few albums with Journey (Infinity, Evolution, and Departure) are featured including "Lights," "Wheel in the Sky," "Lovin Touchin Squeezin," and "Any Way You Want It." Most of the songs on this album are from Journey's most successful years with Steve during 1981-83 from the albums Escape, Frontiers, and various soundtrack contributions. Some of these songs include "Who's Cryin Now," "Open Arms," "Don't Stop," "Faithfully," "Send Her My Love," and "Separate Ways." In 1996, after a long hiatus and band member differences, they reunited briefly with Steve to record the album Trial By Fire and I love that the song "When You Love a Woman" from that album was included here. Sadly, that was Steve's last album with Journey due to him being fired after band displeasure over him not being able to tour because of a needed hip surgery.If you are a Journey fan during the Steve Perry era, this is an awesome collection of their best work on one album!

Killer album with many of the best Journey tracks. This is my new road trip soundtrack and you can count on my singing at the top if my lungs rolling down the road. Its a shame things fell apart between Steve Perry and the rest of the band because this album just stands to reinforce how very good they were and what high caliber music they created.

I had never heard of this rock band but knew they had to be good if some of their songs were Great. Man was I right. Most if not all of the songs have drums, piano and several guitars in them. The man has a really nice voice too it is very strong and he can sing very high musical notes. He is very very good and must have gotten a lot of girls in high school. Someday I hope to be just like him so I am starting my own rock and roll band and calling it Travel and then I will get a girlfriend and have great songs too. I need to buy a guitar and learn how to play it and learn how to sing high notes and then my band will be just like this one I hope. This rock music album has changed my life and I'm glad that I bought it. If you would like to be in my rock band please let me know.

As an amateur guitarist I am more a fan Neal Schon's consistently excellent and instantly recognizable guitar work than anything else, although most listeners will associate Journey more strongly with Steve Perry's vocals. Needless to say, this greatest hits CD is heavy on material from the monster album "Escape" ("Who's Crying Now," "Open Arms," and "Don’t Stop Believin'") though other albums are also represented here. The problem is, of course, that Journey produced a huge body of work and one CD is inadequate for anything but a very superficial treatment of such a long-lived band. I admit that there are songs here I am not fond of, but there are also songs here that I can't get enough of (mostly thanks to Schon.) For me the most appalling oversight is not having "Anytime" (from "Infinity") front and center in the collection, though everyone will have their own list of liked and disliked tracks. If you want a good introductory overview of Journey, "Greatest Hits" is a good fit for your '80s music collection.

The quality of this book is fantastic. Rather than a simple collection of Maly Siri's wonderful pinup girl art, it is a full fledged exploration of her creativity, inspiration, and vision. It gives insight into the pinup world and quite honestly, despite a fascination with pinup art that has lasted me a lifetime, gave me a few new perspectives to consider.The quality of the book itself is top notch and leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. It is beautiful and artful. It is a two sided book and within the pages are two different themes. One side of the book gives you a study on "good girl" pinups. The "Gil Elvgrinesque" girls - pretty & innocent but inadvertently giving a peek of stocking & garter due to some mishap. The opposite side, or what is actually the second book, focuses on the "bad girls". The girl who wields her beauty and sexual energy like a power and is comfortable being herself, unleashed by convention or societal norms. I have to admit this cover is my favorite of the two but not necessarily any better. I just prefer the design.I assure any other buyer that this book it well worth your time and you will enjoy the experience of reading it greatly.

Amazing! My favorite artist for sure. Wish her original art was not so expensive so I could have a painting in my home. This book sits right on my coffee table for guest to see. :)

This is a very different style of pin-up art and it's magnificently done. The book is unique in the good girl/bad girl format in that it's printed upside down halfway through, so, when you go from cheesecake cute and innocent to Bettie Page and John Willie-style paintings, the book flips around like it's an entirely separate volume - very clever.Her style of painting is quite unique. She takes very retro pin-up, voyeur, and fetish-style artwork and incorporates it into seemingly vintage advertisements, magazine covers, advertising posters, magazine ads from old detective magazines, things like that, to make the artwork seem like it's something torn from the past, but yet, it's not. This is an entirely different approach to this type of work and she's nailed it with this book.If you like pin-up art, paintings of beautiful women, cheesecake pin-ups or vamp dominatrix-style retro ladies of the forties and fifties, you're going to like this book. And aside from that, it's a nice heavy book with excellent printing quality. You can't go wrong with this one, buy the hard cover copy while it's still available!

I got it as a present, I really don't read the book as it has more drawings than reading, which is great because I wanted for that! Great pinup art

Sort of a warmed over version of his Outlook 2013 book. Heavy on the detailed use of Outlook, but pretty light weight when it comes to the topic of synchronization, which is THE essential need for folks these days who have Outlook on a desktop, laptop, tablet, and phone. You need to have your email, contacts, calendar, and notes synchronize flawlessly among these devices. And, you need the information completely available and usable if you are offline. I understand that it is possible, but this book will not tell you how to do it. I haven't achieved it yet, and Microsoft does not make it easy for single users. If you are in a large institution or business, there's loads of help for it. But, if you are flying solo, good luck!

This book is horrible. The screen shots showing the steps are not legible ... so blurry that I had to use magnifying lens but even then, it's blurry and too small to start with. There isn't much to learn if you have used Outlook 2007 like I have used. I was looking for features missing in 2016 from my favorite 2007. I felt like I was insulted with this book that was obviously written in rush to sell. Bill Dyszel guy did a horrible job. We should all return it like I'm doing.

I have bought a number of "for Dummies" books and have found all of them to be useful, and on one occasion ("Limited Liability Companies for Dummies"), it was so superb it outdid a law book costing $200. This book is the absolute worst of all those I have bought or read. It is at best a dumbed-down version of some of Outlook's own Help files -- and only a few of them! It is all just very basic. There are a lot of things the average reader of this book could have benefited from but are hard to find in Outlook without digging in their Help files or Googling for the answer -- and those things are not included at all. I am still looking for a book that has all those helpful things. But DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK, unless you really are dumb and need the kind of explanation that a ten-year-old could benefit from. No, I take that back. Today's ten-year-olds could figure most of what this book has to offer in 15 minutes just using Outlook.

Having upgraded from Outlook 2007 to this version, I needed a basic guide for all the changes they've made in this version. Even simple things are not to be found, like color-coding calendar entries (my way of highlighting upcoming appointments, tasks and birthdays) and "selecting all" when wanting to delete dozens of email messages at once. Perhaps it's the software and not the book, but I was disappointed nonetheless.

Much too basic. Really written mostly for Outlook in general, not specific enough to Outlook 2016 features to suit me. Author writes as if the reader has never used email before. How many readers does that apply to?

So far it has failed to show me how to generate a more user-friendly program that is more integrated with traditional word and excel, not does it mimic the long lost Outlook 2007 on the surface. There should be a classic face one can put on the modern program but I have not yet found it.

These "dummies" manuals are fantastic to use. I have one for each thing I need to do with my computer softwares. Thank you.

I used to be an administrative assistant, and when my old home computer crashed last month, I replaced it with a new model -- Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2016, It was a shock to see how obsolete my Microsoft Office skills had become in five years of retirement, so I simply had no choice but to buy this book to start reloading all the Outlook data I had lost. Instructions are at once succinct, clear, and thorough, thank goodness! So far, the only complaint I have is that this volume is smaller than other "Dummies" I have bought in the past. Therefore, the graphics are smaller, and I had to hunt for a magnifying glass.
