My wife and I received a smoothie maker as a gift this summer. I then had the same smoothie made for me for about two months straight. In an effort to expand our horizons, we bought a smoothie recipe book and it's been such a treat. Not only is there great information about the benefits of drinking smoothies but there are so many recipes here that I don't think we'll ever get to them all. One of my favorites is the Pineapple and Kiwi Smoothie, followed by the Orange-Berries Smoothie. Great flavors, aromas and colors!

For someone just starting out, I like to know what might go well together. This book makes it Easy to get some ideas and Also to make your own substitutions. The only thing that would make it better would be a list of ingredients in the index that takes you to specific recipies, or let you search for ingredients that have specific benefits.

All of these recipes look so good. You may not want any carbonated drinks after looking at this book! Yum!

Very disappointed. The book has no calorie info. Does not give specific times to do certain things. Also I ordered it for specific type of recipes it basically is one list of recipes. There is no breakdown of types. No index to look up for specific reasons or ingredients.

Haven't tried many but just looking gives me so many more choices.

Nice book! However, to be fair I haven’t made anything from the book yet. I will do so very soon.

This book is life changing! At one point in the book, I just got it. I saw. I observed. I was the observer. I was aware of who I was then and there. I will be reading and re reading. I first borrowed the book from the library, but then I had to buy my own so that I could underline and make notes.

I felt quite bored when reading the first several pages of this book. Then the author began talking about the ego, page after page after page. This book talked about the ego, my ego, in more ways than I had previously ever imagined, confronting and exposing my precious ego. On at least a couple of occasions, I threw the book across the room into the wall. Then I became aware that this was exactly what I needed. I have never before read a book describing the human ego with such logical description. His work on the "pain body" is some of the most valuable work on understanding human relationship behavior that I have ever read. I strongly recommend this book for anyone that is willing to take another step in becoming honest with one's self.

This book is changing my life and I'm only a 1/3 of the way into it. I saw Mr. Tolle interviewed by Oprah on Super Soul Sunday and was amazed at his descriptions about life. The idea that we are not anything of form - thoughts, likes/dislikes, cumulative experiences, gender, nationality, religion, and on and on....mind boggling. Tolle says that we are the part of us that realizes we are thinking. Anything else is ego. Tolle says that at the heart of all ancient religions is that the mind is insane and if we want to find peace, we must realize who we really are and drop any pretense of ego. Ego is just an illusion. My life is already better, just from learning that little bit.The book takes time to read, because, you have to contemplate what you read, highlight it and read it again. I imagine reading this book or at least parts of it, over and over again. Enjoy.

I read this after "The Power of Now" and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. For one, Tolle repeats most of what you'll find in the "Power of Now" in this book with little new insight. The Socratic way of question and answer sets a very all-knowing form. In "The Power of Now", it seems he's more of a guide or a teacher but after reading this book he seems like some sort of arrogant all-knowing God. If you have to decide between the two, read the "Power of Now".

Eckhart Tolle doesn't need any help to sell this book. But still i am writing this review because this is truly such a great book.Maybe regretfully- the book's title doesn't convey how transformational a tool it can be for the individual person... It doesn't only talk about creating a new conscious society, but it mostly is a useful and eye opening book about waking up individually.I wonder if it is at all possible to digest this book even with several reads... maybe even in one single lifetime...I first read it more than 10 years ago, maybe even more, when i was deep into Eckhart and his teaching.Then i moved on to other spiritual inspirations.. and felt that frankly, it's strange, but i don't want to go near Eckhart at all again, as his teaching just makes me "frustrated".... What can i say- it wasn't correct for me to listen to him for a while.Now, i happened to return to his sphere of influence, and picking up this book again, i realize how deep, accurate and brilliant it is.Yes. It may not be easy implementing what Eckhart talks about.But if you are someone that feels strongly about spirituality, and even about liberation from suffering, this book has a dignified place in your library... even if you'll have to read it again and again over the course of many years, to realize it's transformational power.Eckhart knows what he is talking about.

To be honest, I hated this book the whole time I was reading it and immediately after. I thought it was poorly written, repetitive, preachy, and idealistic. But lo and behold, 6 months later I am still thinking about it all the time. Like it says in the intro, you are either ready for this book or you're not. If you're ready, it will open your eyes in a way that is impossible to reverse. Try to read it with an open mind and a willingness to deeply examine your own mind in ways that may be very uncomfortable to you. It will be worth it.

The enormous, positive impact this book has had on me is unbelievable. I feel like a new person with all the information packed into this book. I am now rereading to ensure i grasp everything this gem has to offer and i honestly feel like i would've be rereading for years to come. I have made so many notes and highlights and reading them everyday fills me with such joy and peace. This is a process and at time the information would be so profound that you need a moment or the rest of the day to focus and really let whatever information (and there is an abundance) that sticks out to YOU sink in and process! This book will change the way you look at life... GUARANTEED!!

Life changing. Appreciate author's research and use of many teachers. Author has an interesting interpretation of some scripture, but stays true to most and it is applied well to support points made. Certainly provides common sense ways to eliminate stress in your life. Very relaxing to listen to. We set the timer on Kindle, and listen to excerpts before bedtime. Soothing, comforting, provocative, enlightening and also helps us sleep! Also listen to it when driving, helps with stress. Definitely, recommend for people who obsess, are quick to anger, or mentally can't 'let things go'.

If you are interested in the origins of the Eden story and the motivations of the Jahwist author “J” who wrote Genesis 2-3 all those years ago, this book is a must-read. I devoured it in a matter of days, engrossed in all the information the authors were providing and entertained by their excellent writing. The text is sprinkled with abundant footnotes with citations to respected writers.This book is not some religiously motivated, devotional work that advocates an oversimplified literalist or inerrantist view of the Bible. But it is not some angry atheist screed denouncing the Bible, either. It is a work of level-headed scholarship, and a fascinating one at that.Highly recommended for intellectually curious Bible believers and non-believers alike.

This is an excellent review and analysis of the Garden myth. It begins with a review of the geopolitical status of the era within this region of the world, and then discusses the structure of the myth, the influences had upon it by earlier creation myths as well as the religious history pertaining to the times and how they all came together to present one of the most enduring and influential myths of our times. The authors present a discussion of the author of this Biblical story and the religious environment at the time of writing of this scripture and how it probably influenced him in his structuring of the story. It presents an in-depth explanation of the symbols involved in the Garden of Eden and how they were utilized to achieve the suspected goals of the author. This is a must read for anyone seeking a clearer understanding of this Biblical scripture and the related times.

This book is my most valued discovery in the last year as I have researched the story of Eden in preparation for writing a story of my own about the much maligned serpent in western culture. The interdisciplinary research that the authors bring sheds light from multiple perspectives, especially their insightful understanding of modern archeology and Jungian psychology. This book has called into question many of my assumptions that I have naively held about the historical accuracy of the Biblical record. I count Mythology of Eden as one of the more meaningful books in my library.

The story and its historical and cultural concepts of Eden have been reviewed as a phenomenon within a theoretical context, heuristical approaches,and empirical studies. An inspiring story full of surprises and insights that can be only written by the one who has truly experienced its impact. A memorable read. The ones who do damage, they don't feel good there but once you're stupid enough to let them in you got no choice but to take the time it takes to work them out. Then there are the ones who don't do damage, who feel good there, feed the muscle, the bone, the soul, not rip it or break it or burn it. The ones you don't wanna work out.”***❣ - The underappreciated girl with a past will resist the initial allure of said hot guy because she has something tragic in her past or is slightly broken. But at least she is not 20 something….One of the best things about KAs MCs is that most of the time they are in their 30s and 40s.***“All my life, or as long as I can remember, I thought something special was going to happen to me. I just had this feeling, deep in my bones. It’s never going to happen because there isn’t anything special out there to happen.”***❣ - The KA heroine will freak out at some point and time and ramble on in a cute or over informative way.❣ - There will be sex…lots of hot sex…even some in the shower and that is when I know this isn’t real life. Because have you ever tried to have sex in the shower…it is slippery and I think you are more likely to get a concussion than anything else.❣ - At some point there will be some crass talk…I personally look forward to this. It is usually dirty and mostly thrown in the face of someone who has wronged the MC so I totally look forward to the verbal smack down. There were a few of them in Sweet Dreams and they were all awesome.❣ - You can usually count on a kidnapping, girl fight, alpha dominance fight or a tasering. If you are lucky you get a combo of them.Sweet Dreams worked for me for a few reasons. I liked Laurie most of the time. She had a bad marriage and is a bit gun shy but she stands up for herself doesn’t let anyone walk all over her and is good to her friends. There is also Tate who made me happy just a little more than he made me angry but overall he just did it for me. It was probably all the crass talking.The murder mystery while interesting totally plays second fiddle to the love story. This IS love story first and foremost with a mystery. Still I always love learning about the pasts of the characters to see why they are both a little broken and each one helps to fix the other. Tate’s history was just as tragic as Laurie’s was but in a different way.KA did fortunately reign in all of the descriptions in this one. There are still a lot and I always know what a character is wearing, or the general vibe of a room but she didn’t go nearly as overboard as she did in The Gamble.The side characters and the small town always add a lot to the story and this is no exception. I love that I feel like these are real places and you could go and visit Carnal and have a drink at Bubba’s and run in to Jim-Billy there and maybe watch Twyla throw down some attitude at bad tipping customers.All and all this is one of my favorite KA books to date.

Is it the best book I've read? No. But it never fails in making me feel good -- and that's why we read books, right?! Kristen Ashley is always my go-to when I'm in need for some good closure and a HEA. This book is not the best ending she's written, but it still gives me that smile on my face when I get to the end. AND...I just love Tate so darn much! I am incredibly happy to report that he is everything I love in KA heroes even after a re-read! I was truly worried he wouldn't hold up...especially after being so disappointed in myself after re-reading Motorcycle Man and Tack not being the man I had in my head the second go-round. It's no secret that I am not a huge fan of suspense in romance, but this book has just the right balance between romance/suspense/other stuff to keep me interested and eating up the super long book in no time!**See Goodreads.com/NMmomof4 for my full review with spoilers**Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Lauren and Tate's story. Lauren is on the road trying to find herself a new home after a devistating divorce, and she lands herself in a small town in the Colorado mountains. She meets Tate, who is a part owner of the bar, and they bump heads right away. When a serial killed hits too close to home, things between them change drastically. There is a good bit of ex drama (on both ends), some big secrets revealed, some friend and family drama, some sexy times, AND a serial killer on the loose...but they do eventually get a HEA ending.POV: This was told primarily in Lauren's POV with a few sections in other character's POV.Overall Pace of Story: Good. This is another long one! On Amazon it is listed at 678 pages. I never have issues getting through it though, because SO many things happen! I never skimmed, and it flows well throughout.Instalove: No, they take a while to develop stronger feelings.H rating: 4.75 😜 stars. Tate. My #1 all time favorite KA hero. That's not so say he doesn't get OTT in his alpha jerkish ways at times, but I just can't help falling for him every time I read this.h rating: 4 stars. Lauren. I like her. SWEET DREAMS is book two in the Colorado Mountain Series and is (kind of) an enemies to lovers contemporary standalone with just a hint of suspense. If I was forced at gunpoint to name my top three Kristen Ashley favorites, I'd name this one as number two...number one...number three...well let's just say this book is one of my favorites!! I've read this beloved tale at least four times, possibly more. Right off the bat, I'll say I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Lauren's character. She found the strength to transform herself (and not just physically) from a timid, insecure woman to a strong, confident Goddess. It was like watching a plain boring caterpillar break free from her cocoon to become this beautiful majestic butterfly! It's a journey I never get tired of reading. Then of course there's Tate, Lauren's bad boy alpha boss who also moonlights as a bounty hunter. There's just something about a possessive, take charge kind of man with a silver tongue that makes my heart pound! Plus, the sparks that ignite when these two come together is HAWT! Next is the crazy cast of secondary characters, each one who, by the time Ms. Ashley's done, has me feeling like they're my best friends. Throw in a plot with a few suspenseful elements and surprises and you have the perfect contemporary romance! Told from Lauren's POV with a happy ever after.

Don't bother buying this book. This author used social media to sell her books then went completely silent on her customers. Closing down her accounts meant you could no longer have access to pictures of recipes that she used to lure her customer base. You can't reach her about her recipes. The recipe for the bread turned out so dense. Did I do something wrong I'll never know because the author is unattainable. I'm ready to throw this book in the trash as Mrs. Stewart has done to her customers. She begged for reviews via social media and here is my review. Better to buy from Authors Danielle Walker or Jennifer Bigler. They include pictures in their books and they are accessible through social media for questions etc....and they do Facebook live for their peeps.

This book addresses many needs people who are new to a gluten free life-style would find extremely helpful. My husband (who does not require a GF diet), and I have thoroughly enjoyed several recipes from this book. So far we have made the Gigi's Everyday Gluten Free flour and have used it in the veggie pizza (that did not taste like cardboard) the flatbread; Perfect Gravy Every Time we had with the Roasted Harissa Chicken, mash potatoes and peas. We have enjoyed the Easy Lo Mein, the Cilantro-Lime Slaw with the Grilled Jerk Chicken Tenders; the Persian-Spiced Carrot Hummus with Versatile Flatbread and tomorrow evening we are having the Grilled Flank Steak. Not one disappointment.This book contains a recipe index that notes Dairy Free, Egg Free, Vegan and Vegetarian recipes. Each recipe provides the number of people it serves, prep-time, cook time, single pot, ingredient tips and allergen tips along with the all important calories, total fat, carbs, etc..If I had this book two years ago, my transition to a GF diet would have been significantly easier. Thank you Gigi Stewart for the effort put into this!!

Recipes are okay.I have used this author's many online recipes over the years to much success. Always loved perusing her website for inspiration of all kinds- not just food wise.One difference between her recipes that used to be on her site and this book? The book recipes are fussier with more ingredients that are harder to find unless you do a lot of online ordering, or you live in a large city. There is a lot less creativity in this book.Disappointed that the author built up a devoted fan base and then dumped them all like hot cakes after the cook-book was released. She selfishly pulled all the recipes from her site and even more upsetting for me at least: all helpful information on living with celiac disease.Part of the reason I purchased this was because I was able to try the recipes on her site, and knew they were good. I really don't buy cookbooks from authors whose recipes I can't try out beforehand.How are new potential buyers going to trust that these are going to work out when they never get to test out any of her other recipes? Gluten free cooking is already more expensive, so why buy from someone who sounds like an entitled brat on her webpage and has only left up links to purchase her book?I am fine with the fact that she wants to pursue other avenues in her life, and that she isn't putting out new content; she is a free human being welcome to grow and change as she sees fit. In fact, I wish her luck. The least she could have done was to leave the website in tact, or at least send out an email for those who subscribed and let us know so that we could be sure to write down our favorite and go-to's had we not yet done so. Instead, she pulled everything and hid behind a snarky "About Me" page.This just feels like a slap in the face for those of us who supported and cheered her on all these years. And for those of us who eagerly and happily supported her financially by purchasing her cook book and e-books, all of which we could have found for free elsewhere.The cookbook is decent, but don't expect any support if you have questions about a recipe. She has made clear she will not be responding to anyone from now on, unless you want to "collaborate" with her... i.e. pay her money to talk to you.I genuinely feel scammed. This is akin to being dumped via text. This was NOT the way to keep people loyal to her brand and recommending her to people new to gluten free.I Cannot recommend this book, and will be throwing my copy out, like the author has done to her devoted followers. I have to go grain free anyway.

This is my new favorite cookbook and it will remain a book I turn to for years to come.It has been living on my countertop since I received it and I have been trying one recipe after another. Each time, I am blown away by the simple, well-written recipes, and the exceptional taste. (Lime/lemon zest in roasted broccoli is pretty revolutionary!)There is so much valuable, comprehensive information within this book, from the basics of gluten-free cooking to the secrets behind how the ingredients work in the recipes. As someone who cooks often, I can see how Gigi has used expert techniques to bring out the best in each recipe.I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to eat a healthy gluten-free diet!

disappointed-there are no pictures for all the meals! for a person that now has to go on gluten free diet- its hard to get started and harder when you have to change your whole diet- it doesnt help that when im looking for a cookbook - no pictures are included of what the end result is suppose to look like.

This book really is great for a gluten free beginner. It's well written and full of recipes that I look forward to trying.

It has many gluten free recipes and I have only a “gluten sensitivity “ not a gluten allergy, which was the only element I searched and this book was rated high. However, because I read reviews superficially, I did not notice the recipes also include everything else like dairy free, and by my standards,essentially taste-free. If you must eliminate many ingredients, this is probably for you.

Take the five stars in context of Delphi having no university textbooks published in the last twenty years or so. This book is well written and surprisingly relevant for current programmers taking up Delphi or Lazarus (like I am). Delphi code is very stable, unlike C++ or Python so I am having no problems using this book with RAD studio XE2 and Lazarus. You have to use the Lazarus feature to convert Delphi projects, of course. For one dollar, this book is the best deal on a computer book I have ever made. You have to roll with the old screenshots, but you have to expect some changes like that. Think of this book as mainly for the language and not the IDE and then it works just fine.

This is a fantastic book for newcomers to Delphi, but with a shortcoming for some potential readers:1. Kerman teaches not only Object Pascal/Delphi in a clear, concise progression, but also the basics in efficient design while solving real world implementation problems.2. Object Oriented Programming is integrated by the very nature of using Delphi objects, and later in the book, Kerman introduces additional Object Oriented Programming (OOP) fundamentals.3. Unlike nearly every other Delphi text I've read aimed at Delphi newcomers, this book ensures the reader learns, understands, and integrates efficient problem solving along the way.4. Finally, Kerman includes excellent exercises and quizzes to verify and challenge your learning in each chapter.5. My only negative critique (and the reason I only give the book four stars) is that the book does not include solutions to the end-of-chapter exercises and quizzes. (The solutions are located online for instructors only, which makes it difficult if you are teaching yourself). You also will not have access to the book's errata unless you complete online student registration with Addison/Wesley/Pearson Tech/(etc.). The reason this book is so expensive is because it's been adopted as a teaching text, and all textbooks are expensive because they can be. Sad but true.Having said that, I do not believe you'll find a better introduction to Delphi/Object Pascal anywhere.

I bought this book for my husband. Computers are his department in our house. He likes learning new things about computers. He tries many different operating systems, tons of different software, and uses multiple programming formats. This book was a good source for information for him.

But it's alright i can find plenty of resources on the internet about that. In addition, the CD that contains the solutions is not available and it is accessible to instructors only.Other than that, this book is a blessing.Finally, it depends from a learner to learner. Some want the up-to-date material explaining Delphi XE2 for example. This book is not for you, but If you are a newbie to delphi, then you have to read this book and another one which is more simple (Essential Pascal by Marco Cantu).

This book [was expensive to me] because it is a textbook, and as we all know, there's no getting around the price of a textbook. I'm not currently attending class, but purchased this book anyway. I found it extremely well laid out, very descriptive, and informative. I went from knowing very little about Delphi, to knowing quite a bit. This book has all the little bits of information the less formal books leave out. A great book! If I had one complaint, it was of the lack of attention to some of the higher programming skills, chapters like DDE were very short indeed, but gave you enough to know what they did. This is a beginners book, make no mistake. If you're just learning Delphi, it's great. I believe this was made with Delphi 5, but there are so few differences, you'll never notice.
